Activism Rewards Program:
On July 20, 2011, the VPO announced the Activism Rewards Program in an effort to increase membership in the VPO and encourage our members to become active and involved in the Organization. The "contest" began on July 20, 2011 and will continue until the VPO Annual Meeting to be held in April or May of each year. Members will have opportunities throughout the year to earn "entries" into a drawing to be held at the Annual Meeting. The drawing will award great prizes, as well as discounts off membership fees. National Federation of Paralegal Associations:
By joining the VPO, you automatically become a member of NFPA® (National Federation of Paralegal Associations). For more information on the benefits of membership with NFPA, go to our National Affiliation page.
Vermont Bar Association:
Being a member of the VPO, makes applying to become an Associate Member of the Vermont Bar Association ("VBA") simpler. For more information about the Associate Membership, view the VBA Info Page. Applications for Associate Membership can be found on the VBA's website and should be submitted to the VBA together with a check made payable to the Vermont Bar Association in the amount of $90. If you are supporting your VBA application based on your VPO Membership, the VBA requires certification from the VPO that you are a voting member in good standing. American Bar Association:
The American Bar Association ("ABA") also offers an Associate Membership to paralegals or legal assistants. For more information about the Associate Membership, view the ABA Info page.
