PACE® NFPA® Study Materials

Study Manual

The PACE Study Manual provides an overview of the five domains covered on the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam.  The 6th Edition is available directly from the publisher, Omnipress, and can be ordered from the NFPA website.  The 6th edition, like the 5th, includes mini-chapters on bankruptcy, corporate law, intellectual property, family law, and other areas tested in the current exam.  NFPA has also updated the existing chapters, and completely re-written the Intellectual Property chapter.  A corrected Table of Contents for the 5th Edition of the PACE Study Manual is available by clicking here.  If you have an older edition, be assured that it will assist you in preparing for the exam.  As always, candidates are encouraged to consult other source materials as well as the Study Manual while preparing for the exam, regardless of which edition of the Studay Manual is used.

Cost:  $75.00 plus shipping and handling.

API and PEG PACE Review Courses

The Advanced Paralegal Institute ("API," a/k/a American Institute for Paralegal Studies - "AIPS") and the Paralegal Education Group (PEG) each offer NFPA-approved online review courses for the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam (PACE).

The API course runs for seven weeks, and includes a brief pre-course orientation to familiarize students with the software used by API.  API courses are taught by paralegal instructors through computer-mediated distance learning.  Students may communicate with instructors or classmates around the clock from their home or office computer.  A mock PACE exam will be administered at the conclusion of the course.  Additional informaton and the registration form can be found on NFPA’s website.  For more information, click here.
