Working on Behalf of Paralegals throughout the State of Vermont
Currently, I work for the State of Vermont Agency of Transportation in Montpelier, drafting legal documents related to the State's acquisition, sales, or leasing of real property. In addition to my responsibilities working for the State of Vermont, I work evenings for a community outreach program in Middlebury assisting impoverished families as they mitigate crisis and work toward achieving stability.
I have a strong passion for increasing access to the judiciary, particularly with regard to folks that cannot afford proper representation. It is my belief that justice should be made available to all. Throughout my career, I have made advocacy a priority and continue to work towards achieving best possible outcomes for people in need.
Serving as the Chair of the VPO Pro Bono Committee is a new and welcome endeavor for me. As I work in collaboration with the VPO Board, we look forward to launching initiatives, planning events, and networking throughout the State to promote pro bono services and the VPO.
I am a BA student at Southern New Hampshire University and currently hold a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Boston University. I have extensive first response training, FEMA emergency management training, and public outreach training. I also intend to sit for PCCE in the spring/summer of 2019. During my down time, I enjoy woodworking, gardening, and spending time with family.
Thank you all for the opportunity to serve the VPO and its members in this capacity.
