Pathway to the Paralegal Profession
The Vermont Paralegal Organization invites you to become a part of the Pathway to the Paralegal Profession Program1. People with paralegal skills are in demand in Vermont right now. The VPO is creating a program to help people already working in the paralegal field supplement their existing skills and to teach skills to those who would like to enter the paralegal profession.
Our 2025 program is an Introduction to Vermont Estate and Trust Law. We have invited Attorney Heather Devine to present a ten-week course covering an introduction to Vermont estate and trust law topics, including the basic legal concepts and detailed practical skills needed for estate planning and probate administration. We'll address trusts, wills, and other estate planning documents; probate proceedings; probate and nonprobate transfers; and other key topics. Gain the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to navigate trust and estates law practice with confidence. Whether you're starting out or looking to expand your expertise, this class offers valuable insights for every paralegal.
Each session will be 1 1/2 hours and will be scheduled Wednesday afternoons at 1PM beginning May 28, 2025.
