| Working on Behalf of Paralegals throughout the State of Vermont |
As Finance Committee Chair, it is my responsibility to monitor the finances of the VPO and to assist the Treasurer in preparing the annual budget. I began my career with an Associates Degree in Accounting from Champlain College in 1986 and worked for the City of Winooski as a Bookkeeper for 2 ½ years. I then decided to change my focus and went back to Champlain College for an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies. I have worked in the legal field since 1991, except for a brief stint at a public accounting firm. I have been lucky enough to have worked at some of the most prominent law firms in the Burlington area and in February 2024, I started at Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, as a Trusts and Estates Paralegal. This position allows me to combine my love of accounting with working with some of the most prominent attorneys in Vermont and New Hampshire. I have been actively involved with the VPO on and off for many years and look forward to my new role as Finance Chair, allowing me to use my skills in both accounting and the legal field. In my spare time, my husband and I try to do as much traveling as we can, while both working full-time. We share a common interest in baseball and spend most of our summers traveling to ballparks. We have three grown daughters and now have three grandchildren, the latest granddaughter born July 17, 2024. |
