Working on Behalf of Paralegals throughout the State of Vermont
I am a paralegal at Nanci A. Smith, Esq., PLLC, joining the firm in 2020. Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, I earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton and a Master’s from the University of Memphis, both in Psychology. In 2010, I completed my paralegal certificate and became a Certified Paralegal through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). I relocated to Burlington from Austin, Texas, where I worked extensively in child welfare, first as a child advocate and later as a paralegal.
As President, it is my goal to bring the VPO to the forefront in the legal community, both in Vermont and beyond, by increasing the visibility of the VPO through participation of our members in pro bono and CLE activities. In addition, I will continue the efforts of the VPO to forge a strong partnership with the Vermont Bar Association in order to streamline our groups' joint educational goals, and continue the growth of the paralegal professional as an integral part of the legal field.
