Working on Behalf of Paralegals throughout the State of Vermont

I have worked in the legal field since 1993 when I started at a Burlington law firm as an office assistant, then went on to a legal secretary position and eventually became a paralegal. I have an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Trinity College, and a Bachelors Degree in Legal/Paralegal Studies from Woodbury College. I earned my MBA in Finance in 2019, and my Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation in 2022. I feel blessed to have worked at some of the largest, most diverse firms in Vermont over the years, which has given me a broad range of experience in a variety of cases and legal issues. I have handled large and complex commercial litigation matters, including employment matters, regulatory and administrative matters, employment and family based immigration work, insurance coverage and defense work, eminent domain and condemnation cases, and foreclosures. I am currently employed as a Senior Paralegal at Paul Frank + Collins P.C., where my work is concentrated in the areas of labor & employment law, litigation, and business immigration.

I have been actively involved with the VPO for many years, and have served in various roles including Vice President, Membership, and NFPA Primary. I also served previously on the NFPA Board of Directors as Region V Director.

For fun, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my rescued pit bull Rudy, and my two grandchildren. I like to challenge myself and also enjoy spending time outdoors, so my hobbies include things like hiking, running, obstacle course racing, camping and kayaking. I’ve completed 3 full marathons, dozens of half marathons, a 10 mile Tough Mudder race up Gunstock Mountain, and a Spartan Sprint.

My role as President is to oversee the general operations of the Vermont Paralegal Organization. I am grateful to the members of the Vermont Paralegal Organization for placing their trust in me to serve as President of the organization for the next two years. I am excited to continue the great work the VPO has accomplished. I truly believe the VPO has an exciting role to play in helping to provide access to justice for Vermonters in the future.
