VPO Paralegal Certification AmbassadorKrista Cadieux, RP® Dinse P.C. Phone: 802.864.5751 E-mail: certification@vtparalegal.org | Working on Behalf of Paralegals throughout the State of Vermont |
I am proud to say that I am a native Vermonter. I earned an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Champlain College in 1991, after which I was employed as a legal assistant for two years with Merritt & Merritt. I worked as a full time paralegal from 1994 – 2003 at English, Carroll & Ritter in Middlebury and, since then, at Dinse P.C. in Burlington, in both cases focusing on real estate law. As often happens in law practice, my experience in real estate frequently crosses into the areas of trusts and estate planning, litigation, and business as well. In 2004-2005 I completed two semesters of American Sign Language at the University of Vermont and I hope to someday utilize those skills that I learned. I have been a Member of the VPO, and a Paralegal Member of the Vermont Bar Association, for several years. In 2019 I passed the PACE® exam and became a Registered Paralegal. Adding that credential to my name has bestowed on me an increased level of respect from the legal community, in addition to boosting my own self-confidence as a legal professional. I believe there is no better way to prove your knowledge and capabilities as a paralegal to the legal community than with an RP®, CP®, or CRP® credential after your name. As the VPO’s Certification Ambassador, I will strive to encourage and support other paralegals who decide to pursue certification. |
