250th Declaration of Independence Celebration

    There will be a  250th anniversary celebration at the Vermont Supreme Court Building on July 1, 2026 in celebration of the Declaration of Independence.  Some of the activities for the celebration include:

    A traveling exhibit featuring historical documents

    A naturalization ceremony

    A reading of the Declaration of Independence by the Vermont Supreme Court

    Tours of the Vermont State House and History Museum

    A viewing of the musical 1776

    Be on the lookout for programming specific to County Courts as well in celebration.

    There will be more details posted to the Vermont Judiciary website.
